Garlicky snap beans

This recipe makes beautiful garlicky great tasting snap beans. You can leave the chilies out if you don’t like heat in your food. You can have just plain green snap beans or mix them up with some colourful snap bean variety you like.

  • 200 g snap beans (yellow or green/yellow and green) with the tops removed
  • 300ml stock
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 2 finely chopped birds eye chilies
  • 1 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  1. Cook the beans in the chicken stock in a pan until the stock has reduced and the beans have a bright green colour.
  2. Add the olive oil, minced garlic and the chopped birds eye chilies to the pan with the beans and cook the beans at medium heat until al dente.
  3. Salt to taste.
  4. Serve immediately.
